Set up your price plans once; Kidy works out each invoice from attendance, working days and discounts, sends it to e-Factura, Romania’s national e-invoicing system, and tracks what is overdue. Parents pay online by card, and payments in your bank statements are matched to invoices for you.

Security and compliance

Children’s and staff data is encrypted, backed up automatically and hosted in the European Union.

  • Data protection (GDPR)

    Kidy processes children’s data on the nursery’s behalf and only for the services in the contract. Access and deletion requests are handled together with the institution.

  • Encryption and 2FA

    Traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3 and stored data with AES-256, and accounts can add two-step sign-in.

  • Hosted on AWS

    The app runs on Amazon Web Services, on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt), spread across three separate data centres.

  • Hourly backups

    The database is backed up automatically every hour. Daily copies are immutable — no one can delete or change them — and are kept for 95 days in a separate AWS account, in another EU region.

What nursery managers ask us before trying Kidy.

Does Kidy send invoices to e-Factura?

Yes. Invoices are worked out from the billing plans and attendance, you send them to the Romanian e-invoicing system straight from Kidy and see the status of each one. Credit notes are issued from Kidy too, and for the accountant there is an export for SAGA, Keez or Excel.

How much does Kidy cost?

Up to 25 children it is free for life, with every feature. From 26 children you pay per child: 12 RON a month on Standard (26–50 children) and 10 RON on Premium (51–150 children), less when paid yearly. From 151 children, write to us.

Do I need a card to start?

No. The account is free for 90 days, with every feature, and we do not ask for a card. After 90 days you pick a plan or stay on Free, if you have up to 25 children.

Can I move my data from Kinderpedia?

Yes, free of charge: children, families, groups, billing plans, invoices, payments and attendance. We run a test import first, you check it, then we run the final one.

Where is the data, and who can see it?

On servers in the European Union (Frankfurt), backed up every hour; the daily copies are kept for 95 days in a separate account in another EU region. Each person sees only what their role allows.

Do parents need an app?

They get one, for iPhone and Android: their child’s attendance, invoices, card payment (if the nursery accepts it) and messages with the teacher. The account comes from the nursery.

Does Kidy have a gradebook or QR check-in?

No. Teachers mark attendance from their phone — present, absent or no meal — and parents are notified. There is no school gradebook, QR or NFC: Kidy is built for running a nursery, not a state school.
